Toolmaker – Fourslide / Punch-Press

Candidate must have the ability to design & manufacture tooling both hard & soft for multiple departments using tool room equipment like surface grinders, laths, mills, etc. Must also be able to setup Punch Press & Fourslide machines. Perform 1st Article Inspections. Must be capable of using all measuring equipment to verify that parts are being made to the blueprint & the customer specifications.

  • Extensive knowledge of blueprints and of all materials
  • Operator must be able to check parts with measuring tools (micrometers, calipers, optical comparators)
  • Strong math skills Required
  • Minimum 2 years of experience required

Coiling Machine Setup Person / Operator

Candidate will setup and run cam style spring coiling machines and spring grinders. Must perform 1st Article Inspections before production run and be able to solve any problems with the production of springs. Must be able to check springs with Calipers, Micrometers & any other measuring equipment to ensure that springs coming off the machine are to the required specifications.

  • Extensive knowledge of blueprints and materials
  • Ability to read blueprints, check all dimensions, loads, rates and tolerances
  • Strong math skills Required
  • Minimum 2 years of experience required

Setup Person – Secondary

Candidate must be competent at making wire forms and sheet metal parts using jigs & fixtures, stock tooling and custom tooling required for some parts. Must have knowledge of all materials used, tolerances requirements & any special procedures pertinent to making parts to blueprints. Able to perform 1st Article Inspections. Must be capable of using all measuring equipment to verify that parts are being made to the blueprint & the customer specifications.

  • Ability to read all blueprint notes, callouts, tolerances & specifications
  • Operator must be able to check parts with measuring tools (micrometers, calipers, optical comparators)
  • Ability to make secondary tooling would be a Plus
  • Strong math skills Required
  • Minimum 2 years of experience required in Wire Forming
