Toolmaker – Fourslide / Punch-Press

Candidate must have the ability to design & manufacture tooling both hard & soft for multiple departments using tool room equipment like surface grinders, laths, mills, etc. Must also be able to setup the Punch Press or Fourslide machines. Performs 1st Article Inspections. Must be capable of using all measuring equipment to verify that parts are being made to the blueprint & the customer specifications.

  • Extensive knowledge of blueprints and of all materials
  • Ability to read all blueprint notes, callouts, tolerances & specifications
  • Operator must be able to check parts with measuring tools (micrometers, calipers, optical comparators)
  • Strong math skills
  • Minimum 2 years of experience required

Coiling Machine Operator

Candidate will setup and run cam style spring coiling machines and spring grinders. Must perform 1st Article Inspections before production run and be able to solve any problems with the production of springs or other issues that can arise. Operator must be able to check springs with Calipers, Micrometers & any other measuring equipment to ensure that springs coming off the machine are to the required specifications.

  • Extensive knowledge of blueprints and all materials
  • Ability to read all blueprints, check all dimensions, loads, rates and tolerances
  • Operator must be able to check parts with measuring tools (micrometers, calipers, optical comparators)
  • Must be able to setup & run the Heat Treat Oven
  • Ability to perform complex calculations for dimensional tolerances
  • Grind parts to spec.
  • Strong math skills
  • Minimum 2 years of experience required

Setup Person – Secondary

Candidate must be competent at using all Wire-forming pins & tools. Must have knowledge of all materials used, tolerances requirements & any special procedures pertinent to making Wire Forms to blueprints. Able to perform 1st Article Inspections. Must be capable of using all measuring equipment to verify that parts are being made to the blueprint & the customer specifications.

  • Ability to read all blueprint notes, callouts, tolerances & specifications
  • Operator must be able to check parts with measuring tools (micrometers, calipers, optical comparators)
  • Must be able to setup & run the Heat Treat Oven
  • Strong math skills
  • Minimum 2 years of experience required in Wire Forming
